Snorkel with the largest fish in the sea - The Whale Shark! The whale sharks come to Holbox Island off the Yucatan coast where the Gulf of Mexico waters and the waters of the Caribbean Sea merge. This nutrient rich (plankton laden) area is where Whale Sharks come to feed in the months of July and August. This “plankton bloom” provides the environment for Holbox to have the highest concentration of whale sharks in the world.

We take you in a 35 foot boat with two 275 horsepower engines directly from Cancun. No long travel time from Cancun to Holbox and then out to see the Whale Sharks!

This is truly a memorable experience! Test your courage to see if you will get in the water and snorkel with these magnificent docile animals – or just view and photograph them from the boat-also impressive. This is the adventure of a lifetime.

TOUR ITINERARY-Directly from Cancun to the Whale Sharks!

Pick up
Cancun Hotel Pickup 7:00 AM (Right, in the morning.)

You will be taken to Puerto Juarez in Cancun where you will board a high speed boat to go to the area where the whale sharks are. Weather permitting and if conditions are good you will get to view and snorkel with the Whale Sharks

*Note: While we maintain GPS coordinates where the whale sharks are during the months of July and August please understand that they move with the plankton which move with the currents in the sea. We cannot guarantee Whale Shark sightings but we assure you we will do our best. Please remember these giant fish are swimming in the open sea and not in a tank or penned-in area.
